Whitworth Cheerleading is hosting our annual Winter Cheer Kids Camp! Little cheerleaders grades K-6, come join us to learn a dance, a cheer, and do some basic level stunts with current Whitworth Cheer Team members! Make new friends and have fun while also getting a free shirt, bow, and face tattoo which you will wear during your performance at a Whitworth Basketball game halftime! No experience necessary. Families of campers enjoy free admission to the basketball game as well.Â
When:Â
Practice: January 9th, 2025 5:00-7:00pm
The Whitworth Cheer Kid's Camp consists of one practice to prepare for the performance at the Whitworth Men's Basketball game halftime. Campers join us in the Whitworth Field House to check in at 5pm. After this, we will play fun games with the current cheerleaders, learn a dance & cheer, and do some basic level stunts. Families are welcome to stay and watch or drop off and pick up. Pick up starts promptly at 7:00pm. Please come inside the building at 6:45pm to check your child out.Â
Performance: January 10th, 2025 at Halftime of Men's Basketball Game - Arrive at 6pm
Campers will perform their dance, cheer, and stunts at the Whitworth Basketball game halftime. Please arrive to the basketball game at 6pm to enjoy free admission with your family. At 8 minutes left in the first half, please walk your camper to the backside of the Fieldhouse (behind the far side of stands) where the cheer team has congregated to get ready for the performance! There will also be an announcement over the loud speaker. After the performance, you are free to head out or enjoy the rest of the game with your family!Â

What Should My Child Bring/Wear?Â
Practice: Â Please send your child with a water bottle and wearing athletic clothing/clothes they can move around in and sneakers/tennis shoes. Please have hair up or in a style that they can move around in.Â
Performance: Please bring your child to the basketball game in their camp t-shirt, given to them on January 9th at the practice. If they would like to wear their bow/tattoo, they are more than welcome! After the performance, their shirt, bow, and tattoos are theirs to keep.
