The Pirates: Whitworth wrapped up a competitive three match non-conference schedule with a 0-1-2 record after a 1-1 draw against visiting Carroll College last weekend.

The Saints scored early with a goal in the 15th minute to take the lead. The Pirates battled defensively and kept the game within reach. Addison Dizard nearly scored midway through the second half when the ball made it through traffic to the right side of the box, but her shot was saved. With less than three minutes left to play, Rebekah Hines took her chance at an open look from outside the box and her strike found the back of the net to even the score. Carroll outshot the Bucs 16-8 and 9-5 in shots on goal. Paige Broadrick and Karlee Roderick each made four saves.

The Opponents: Willamette makes the trip to Spokane with a 1-2-2 overall record and 0-1-1 mark through two conference matches. Last week the Bearcats tied with George Fox 0-0 and fell to Linfield 4-1. Willamette finished fifth in the NWC standings last season with a 5-6-5 conference record. Opponents have outscored the Bearcats 9-6 this season and 31 of their 56 shots have been on goal. Junior midfielder Claire Warthen leads the team with two goals and senior forward Erin Denney has a goal and two assists. Senior Siera Edwards has five starts at goalkeeper with a save percentage of .652. The teams split their two matchups last season, with each team winning on the road.

Pacific is 1-3-1 overall and 0-1-1 through one weekend of conference play. The Boxers are looking to rebound from a ninth place (2-11-3) NWC finish last season. Last week, Pacific fell 3-0 to Linfield and played to a 0-0 draw versus George Fox. The Boxer average 6.6 shots per game and have been outscored by opponents 8-3. Senior Gwendolyn Saing leads the team with two goals and senior forward Mirella Garcia has a team-high 10 shots and one assist. Sophomore Jaelynn Moo and senior Kylie Pascual have split time in net. Whitworth is 33-6-7 against Pacific since 2001 and carry a five-match winning streak into Sunday's matchup.
