PARKLAND, Wash. – For the second time in three games, Campbell Vincent broke her own school record for goals in a match, leading Whitworth to a season-ending 18-1 victory at Pacific Lutheran in the final Northwest Conference lacrosse match of 2025 for both teams.
The Pirates finished 7-7 overall and 4-4 in the NWC, tied for fourth place with Linfield and Lewis & Clark. Since all three teams split against one another, and all three had the same won-loss results against the rest of the NWC, the tiebreaker for advancing to the 2025 NWC tournament came down to a preseason draw. Linfield advances based on that draw.
Vincent scored eight goals against the Lutes, breaking the record of seven goals she set exactly one week ago against Lewis & Clark. She also had two assists. Vincent added to her single-season Whitworth records for goals (65) and total points (83) she has established this season.
The Pirates outscored the Lutes 8-0 in the first quarter and led 13-0 at halftime. PLU (1-14 overall, 0-8 NWC) did not score until less than five minutes remained in the match. Vincent's record-setting goal came with just 39 seconds to play in the game.
Whitworth outshot PLU 36-8. The Pirates controlled possession by winning 15 of 22 draw controls and holding a 39-19 edge in ground balls. Whitworth forced 37 turnovers from the Lutes while committing 20.
Kenzie Hemman had a strong game in her final match as a Pirate. She scored four goals and had one assist, to go along with five draw controls, two caused turnovers and six ground balls. Kenison Turner, Megan Whitman and Sierra Witte all scored two goals each. Whitman was all over the midfield with seven draw controls, seven ground balls and four caused turnovers.
Sage Fosnock played all 60 minutes in their final game as Whitworth's goal keeper. Fosnock stopped four shots.
Taylee Alldredge scored PLU's only goal. Kassie Diller made 10 saves in her 60 minutes minding the net.
