SPOKANE, Wash. – A pair of Whitworth Pirates have been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic NCAA Division III All-District Volleyball team.
Lauren Kremer and Mya Rodriguez were all honored as standouts on the court and in the classroom. To be considered for this award an athlete must have a 3.5 GPA and be a starter or key reserve who has played in 75% of the team's games.
Kremer, a junior middle blocker, made the team for the second straight season. A Biochemistry major with a 3.86 GPA, Kremer earned first team All-Northwest Conference after she led the team in blocks and hitting percentage. She finished second in the NWC in hitting percentage (.334) and in blocks per set (0.91).
Rogriguez, a senior setter, is also part of the team for the second time in her career. She is a health science major with a 3.94 GPA who was named to the Academic All-District team in 2023 before missing most of the 2024 season with injuries. Rodriguez averaged 4.9 assists per set in Whitworth's 6-2 offense this fall and added 27 service aces.
The two Pirates contributed significantly to a Whitworth team that finished 21-7 overall and earned an NWC co-championship with a 14-2 record.
